DreamStar Books was set up to offer a bespoke publishing service specifically created to help new and unpublished authors to get their work published. We provide a professional, affordable publishing service aimed at helping you make the most from your book.

Our service is built on reputation and quality. There is no lengthy contract to sign, no hidden charges and no false promises. We will not tell you just how wonderful your book is, just to get your business!

We want you to be happy with your book and proud to see it in print. Over the past 10 years our business has grown and we are now able to offer a wide range of services, including Professional Editing, Proofreading, even Ghost Writing. We have experienced Cover Designers who will work with you to produce an eye catching cover for your book. We are also able to offer bespoke Web Design and Book Marketing for those authors wishing to make a big splash and reach a wider audience.

Direct Publishing

Our unique Direct Publishing service enables a book to be published in extremely low volume, without the usual cost-prohibiting set up fees. 

After an initial FREE discussion, we will ask you to submit your manuscript, with your own specific and individual requirements.

We will ensure that you receive a professional, personal service at all times.

Once we have agreed on exactly what you want from your book, we get to work.

Some manuscripts (but not many,) are so well written that they require little or no editing, but if we feel your book would benefit from some subtle changes, our editors and experienced writers are on hand and can advise to what extent we feel this is necessary before commiting you to anything.  We will advise you before altering your book in any way. Ultimately this is your book and you have the final say!

We will liaise with you throughout the process and once your book has been typeset and is ready for approval, we supply you with a unique first edition, master copy of your book. This is the first ever printed copy of your book and is marked as such. and hence, is extremely valuable. Once you have checked and approved this proof copy, we commission your book to print.

 In 4-6 weeks, your book will be published. At any time in the future, you can order further copies of your book – in quantities you require – And at very competitive rates. You can even order just one copy if you wish. The days when you had to order hundred's of copies, just to get the price down are, thankfully, long gone.

For a fee of just £895, you could see your book in print.  Our Direct Publishing Service includes all of the following: 

  • Your book is fully typeset to industry standard – This also includes our basic proofreading service Free of Charge

  • Professional cover design – Our professional cover designer will work with you to create two sample book covers based on your ideas

  • Unique ISBN Number & Barcode are created

  • Proof copy supplied, prior to publishing – This is the first ever copy of your book and is marked as such - a perfect & valuable keepsake

  • Registration of book with the British Library – By law your book has to be submitted to at least one of the 6 main libraries in the UK - this is done for you

  • Full distribution to the UK book industry, including all major book retailers, including Amazon.co.uk – We handle your book sales to the book industry, on your behalf. - No need to worry about having to supply copies yourself. (You are, of course completely free to supply copies to friends and relatives.)

  • Twice yearly royalty statement - We pay your royalties on book sales, twice yearly, direct to you

  • Digital files produced – A CD disc copy of your book is also included. A further copy will also be retained in our archive library for posterity.

  • 5 paperback copies of your finished book are supplied to you – Further copies are available thereafter at cost price plus p&p. Order as few or as many copies as you require. You can order just 1 copy if you wish!
